Orgy During the second century of the Roman Empire there was a festival
called Bacchanalia (Roman God Bacchus, God of wine and parties) in
which members met in secret arenas and had large orgies. Sometimes,
people were forced to participate. Those who refused would be executed. Although there is no
documentation on the
largest orgy, when the festivals were outlawed in 186 BC, 7,000 people
were arrested. |
